If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again as the saying goes. In keeping with that philosophy, new reports suggest that Volkswagen will attempt to bring the full-size Phaeton to the U.S. once again, where it was sold only briefly due to dismal sales.
Despite reports, Volkswagen has not officially confirmed the arrival of Phaeton in the U.S. market. However, with the success of Hyundai and its up-market aspirations, that may indicate an opportunity for VW. Afterall, one of the biggest problems with the Phaeton was the challenge of convincing consumers to fork over $85,000 or more for a Volkswagen.
