Volvo Recalls 19,600 Vehicles for … a Decal

The automaker is recalling 2006-2012 C70s and 2011-2012 S60s that came with the optional accessory spare tire kit. Turns out there’s a misprint on a label, which could lead to improper inflation. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration points out that the improperly inflated tire could fail, increasing the risk of a crash.

Flemington Volvo said that Volvo will let owners of the affected vehicles know and dealers will do inspections and apply the corrected label for free, of course. The automaker hasn’t set a schedule for notifying owners, but those with questions can call 1-201-768-7300.

A few years ago Cadillac also had a recall for an errant label. They offered to mail the decal to owners with installation instructions.
