According to Toyota Dealers IL, Toyota led the entire industry in Consumer Reports’ recent 2011 “Top Picks” list. The vehicle research publisher tested vehicles in a number of areas including braking, handling, comfort, convenience, safety and fuel economy and found that Toyota’s lineup had several models that truly outperformed the competition.
Taking highest honors in the “Small SUV” class for the fourth time in the last five years, the RAV4 boasts a winning formula that “includes a roomy interior, agile handling, and very good fuel economy for its class.” In fact, according to CR’s real-world testing, the RAV4 had the best fuel efficiency of any non-hybrid SUV equipped with an automatic transmission, while the V6 version was just one mpg behind—even though CR noted that it “accelerates about as quickly as the Cadillac CTS and Volkswagen GTI.”
