Since its launch in 2006, the Toyota Yaris has offered most of what subcompact car buyers really want, including an affordable price and a fuel-efficient powertrain. However, a new larger model may replace the Yaris in the U.S. to help it take on newer offerings like the Ford Fiesta.
The rumored, all-new model is expected to be somewhat larger than the current Yaris. It’s also expected to break cover at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show. Although a hybrid Yaris model is currently destined for the European market, there has been no word on whether such a model will make it Stateside.
