Toyota Might Replace Yaris In U.S.

by Auto in the News on August 16, 2010

2010 Toyota Yaris imageSince its launch in 2006, the Toyota Yaris has offered most of what subcompact car buyers really want, including an affordable price and a fuel-efficient powertrain. However, a new larger model may replace the Yaris in the U.S. to help it take on newer offerings like the Ford Fiesta.

The rumored, all-new model is expected to be somewhat larger than the current Yaris. It’s also expected to break cover at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show. Although a hybrid Yaris model is currently destined for the European market, there has been no word on whether such a model will make it Stateside.
