Shuttering Mercury Will Cost $500 Million

2010 Mercury Milan imageFord recently announced that it will dissolve the Mercury brand. While this will make more resources available for Ford and Lincoln, the move will also come with substantial costs.

The bulk of the cost will go toward buying out 700 of the 1,700 Mercury dealers. This will equate to as much as $200,000 per dealership.
