When the all-new 2012 Honda Civic hits showrooms latest this year, it will be available with all the familiar powertrains including a standard gasoline engine, the hybrid, and the natural gas-powered engine. The latter has only been available in a few states, but the next-generation will be available nationwide for the first time.
Until now, Honda has sold natural-gas Civic in California, Oklahoma, New York and Utah. Most of the 1,500 natural gas Civics each year are used by government fleets.
