With its combined city/highway fuel economy of 29 miles per gallon, efficiency is assured. However, the Mazda2 also possesses the automaker’s zoom-zoom driving dynamics, making it as fun as it is efficient.
The list took into account both a vehicle’s purchase price and its average annual fuel costs, and included only those with seating for four or more occupants. MSRPs were for the least-expensive model configured with an automatic transmission, and, per TrueCar, the study “did not include pure electric vehicles because there is no cost associated with filling up a tank.”
