Nissan offers no shortage of SUVs and crossovers, but the automaker felt there was still room in the lineup for just one more – the 2011 Nissan Juke. About the size of a Honda Fit, but offering more style and sportiness than other compact crossovers, the Juke is ready to take on one of the industry’s fastest-growing segments.
In terms of nuts and bolts, Nissan has bolted its new 1.6-liter direct-injection, turbocharged four-cylinder engine into the Juke, where it will make more than 180 hp and over 170 lb-ft of torque. That’s plenty of power for a vehicle of this size—the Fit makes do with 117 hp/106 lb-ft of torque—but Nissan’s promising good fuel efficiency, too, thanks to an available continuously variable transmission.
One Nissan dealer that specializes in military finance Bremerton notes that the Juke will not only offer sportiness and fuel-efficiency, but it will also be priced just right.
