Hyundai’s First Hybrid Gets Serious MPG

2011 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid imageHyundai may be late to the hybrid market, but the company’s 2011 Sonata Hybrid will likely be worth the wait as it’s expected to to boast nearly 40 mpg.

“We’re working on final calibration…and the fuel economy estimates could come in a little better than before,” Krafcik said speaking to AutoblogGreen. “We said the Sonata Hybrid will have the highest fuel economy of any mid-size hybrid. We predicted 39 mpg, we may hit 40 mpg.”
