Honda Exec “Lacks Confidence” In EV Demand

Honda EV N imageHonda may be synonymous with hybrids and innovative technology, but the automaker still isn’t too keen on EVs. While Honda won’t stop developing EVs, they continue to question the demand for them.

“It’s questionable whether consumers will accept the annoyances of limited driving range and having to spend time charging them,” said Kawanabe. “We are definitely conducting research on electric cars, but I can’t say I can wholeheartedly recommend them.”

“You know, we have been selling hybrids for years and they have done well.  Not sure about demand for these electric vehicles though.”  stated a Los Angeles Honda Dealer
