In the past, Honda has been cautious about electric vehicles, and for good reason. By most estimates, EVs will not account for a very large chunk of overall auto sales anytime within the next decade. But Honda is still figuring out how to meet initial demand in the U.S., Japan, and even in China.
In an effort to gauge potential EV demand in the world’s largest auto market, Honda is considering the launch of an EV test program in China. Honda has already launched similar EV testing programs in Japan and the U.S.
