Ford Mustang Inspired By Jet Fighter Sells For $400K

Blue Angels Mustang imageFord’s “Blue Angels” Mustang, a unique special edition of the 2012 Mustang, sold at auction recently for $400,000. The proceeds from the auction will benefit the EAA Young Eagles organization and will educate young people about aviation. Having taken inspiration from the F-18 fighter jets flown by the Blue Angels, this special edition Mustang has naturally been fitted with a bevy of high-performance components.

“With this year’s beautiful ‘Blue Angels’ edition Mustang GT, we’ve captured those qualities and paired them with the innovation Ford design and engineering team members build into all of our vehicles,” said Edsel B. Ford II, a member of Ford’s board of directors. “Through this project, we take great pride in continuing our support for EAA and the Young Eagles organization.”
