For 2011, the Ford Mustang not only boasts impressive fuel economy, but it also offers an incredibly powerful V6 and a 5.0-liter V8 that produces 412 hp and 390 lb.-ft. As if that wasn’t enough power, Ford Racing is also introducing new supercharger packages for the Mustang.
Three separate supercharger packages will be available, with all of them featuring the supercharger assembly, intake manifold, complete air-to-liquid intercooler system, drive belt and 47 lb./hr. high-impedance fuel injectors. Two of the kits are already calibrated to operate with the GT’s 5.0-liter engine, with one tuned to deliver 525 hp and 470 lb.-ft. of torque and the other rocking the bigger numbers previously mentioned. Both of these include a Ford Racing ProCal tool with performance calibration as well. The third is a DIY package that provides just the basic hardware and allows enthusiasts to customize the system to best meet their needs.
