Ford Electrifies The Transit Connect Van

2011 Ford Transit Connect imageFord’s Transit Connect van already provides customers with impressive fuel economy, but the Blue Oval wants to help commercial buyers become even more efficient. By the end of 2012, Ford will introduce an all-electric Transit Connect, which delivers impressive utility with zero tailpipe emissions.

“The Transit Connect provides a unique choice for the fleet owner who wants the convenience of a utility vehicle,” said Sherif Marakby, Ford’s director of electrification programs and engineering. “The electric version takes that one step further, delivering a dependable, zero-tailpipe-emission vehicle that requires no petroleum.”
