BMW: Diesels, Hybrids, Four Cylinders Are Coming To The U.S.

2011 BMW 5 Series imageWith premium automakers revamping their lineups to meet new U.S. standards that target industry average fuel economy of 34.1 miles per gallon, BMW is just one automaker that will be bringing more diesels to the U.S market.

“There are different ways to lower fuel consumption, and we’ll probably use most of them,” Willem Rombauts, product manager for the 5 Series, said in a recent interview. “You can bring hybrids, you can bring diesels. With us, it’s going to be a broad range in every area.”
