BMW 5 Series GT Gets Serious Traction

BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo imageThe recently launched 5 Series Gran Turismo model is a unique new addition to BMW’s midsized sedan lineup. As if the added versatility of the GT’s multi-piece hatchback wasn’t enough, BMW also just announced the addition of all-weather traction thanks to its xDrive system.

The 550i Gran Turismo xDrive will debut in June, boasting the ability to go from 0-62 in 5.4 seconds thanks to its 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8. That mill develops 407 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque, while still putting up a rating of 23.9 mpg on the European testing cycle.
