2011 VW Golf: Hybrid Efficiency With Euro-Style

2011 Volkswagen Golf imageThe Volkswagen Golf has become one of the most popular cars in the world. For 2011, it’s poised to become even more popular thanks to a number of performance upgrades and added amenities.

In addition, the Golf is available with a fuel-efficient 2-liter TDI diesel engine that’s both 50-state compliant and capable of hybrid-like EPA ratings of 30 mpg city/42 mpg highway. And that’s with either a six-speed manual or VW’s advanced six-speed DSG automatic with Tiptronic paddle-shifting functionality. The TDI Golf also gets a significant tech upgrade to its interior, with a standard eight-speaker, touch-screen-controlled sound system and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with multifunction controls, as well as an optional touch-screen navigation system.
