2011 Ford Explorer Boasts Class-Leading MPG

2011 Ford Explorer imageThe all-new 2011 Ford Explorer still offers a cavernous interior and rugged capabilities. But Used Car Dealer Albuquerque said that unlike the previous Explorer, which had very thirsty powertrains, the new model now features best-class-fuel economy with EPA ratings of 17 mpg city/25 mpg highway.

“The new Explorer V6 with twin independent variable camshaft timing (Ti-VCT) delivers a keen balance between power and fuel economy,” said Jim Holland, chief nameplate engineer. “This raises the bar for full-size SUVs, and will change buyer expectations for the entire segment.”
