The Dodge Journey was an essential model, helping the brand compete in the lucrative midsize crossover segment. Dodge Oklahoma City conceded that while the Journey had many admirable qualities, it also had its fair share of deficiencies. For 2011, Chrysler corrected some of these deficiencies by heavily revising its interior and adding the all-new Pentastar engine under the hood.
The Journey’s new 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 produces 283 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Exterior changes include a lower front fascia, 19-inch wheels and LED taillamps. Combined with revised suspension geometry, the latest model is overall a bit sportier than the outgoing model.
