Promising to balance power and efficiency, Buick’s all-new 2010 LaCrosse with a 2.4-liter Ecotec four-cylinder engine will be priced from $26,995.
The new Ecotec four cylinder engine with direct injection is a new generation of fuel-efficient engines making their way into a number of GM products. Under the hood of the 2010 LaCrosse, this engine will produce 182 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque.
“As Buick continues its transformation, new products like the 2.4L-powered LaCrosse CX are helping us reach all-new customers,” said Craig Bierley, Buick’s product marketing director. “It gives them a fuel-efficient option that’s simply not available with the competition.”
Fuel efficiency was the primary goal of this trim level, and the LaCrosse CX certainly achieves it with 19 mpg city and 30 mpg highway. As a large sedan, those number are certainly impressive and it provides a unique option for buyers in this segment. Combing ample interior volume, technology, and now high mileage, the LaCrosse CX is just what customers at Birmingham Buick dealers have been seeking.
The four-cylinder Buick LaCrosse CX will go on sale in April and it will compete with other entry-premium models such as 2010 Acura TSX and 2010 Lexus IS. Not only does the LaCrosse offer comparable fuel mileage, but it also costs thousands of dollars less than those two cars.
Drivers visiting Buick St Louis have noted that the brand has taken great strides forward when it comes to quality and technology. The latest Buicks is not the stodgy sedans of recent years. Instead the brand has clearly embarked on a renaissance.
